Winter is far from over here in Oklahoma. A big storm system arrives later today and will begin impacting the viewing area as early as this evening.
Precipitation is NOT expected to fall continuously tomorrow, but when it does, it will likely start as a light freezing/drizzle rain, then turn to sleet late Sunday morning into the afternoon and eventually to snow late Sunday afternoon into the evening.
Ice and sleet accumulations could range from just a tenth of an inch to a quarter of an inch across central Oklahoma.
Northern Oklahoma will see the most snow as the air aloft turns colder during the day tomorrow. Some areas in northern Oklahoma could see up to 4+ inches of snow.
Prepare now for roads to become a problem tomorrow morning into the afternoon. Afternoon temperatures won't make it out of the low to mid 20s, keeping everything that falls from melting away.
Temperatures will stay cold, likely below freezing, through Monday before a warm up and another system mid week.
