Tonight temperatures will drop into the mid 20s with a chance of a light winter mix from Woodward down to Mangum. The rest of the state including the OKC Metro could see patchy freezing fog creating additional slick spots on the roadways.

Our next storm system will move in from the west on Wednesday dumping snow in western Oklahoma during the morning to midday hours. There could be a light winter mix in the southwest. The snow will march eastward through the day reaching the OKC Metro and central Oklahoma during the afternoon, and then exit the state Wednesday evening.

Highs on Wednesday will climb above freezing for most of the day, so as the snow is falling it will stick to elevated and grassy surfaces, but the roads should not be horrible until the sun goes down. Bridges and overpasses will freeze over first.

Snowfall totals will be on the light side with only a trace to an 1" for most of the state with the exception of far northwest Oklahoma.
