Thieves stole hair dryers, curling irons, salon chairs and even a shampoo station from Level 7 Salon in Yukon.

The owners were first notified of a flood at the Salon on Monday, March 17. When the stylists got inside the shop they discovered everything was missing.

"At first it was just panic," said Amber Thomas, one of several stylist out of work this week due to the burglary.

Apparently, the thieves cut the waterline while trying to dismantle the shampoo station late Sunday evening or early Monday morning.

"It means we are out of work until we spend hundreds to replace everything," said Thomas.

With the restoration costs, replacing stolen items and the lost wages, the stylists estimate the thieves cost the salon $20,000 in damages.

But the stylists are bouncing back quickly. They have been cleaning, restoring, and planning to remodel.

"We are going to make this place even better than before." Thomas said.

In the meantime, they hope the criminals get caught. Yukon Police are reviewing surveillance images captured in the area at the time of the burglary. A possible suspect vehicle is described as black Ford F-250 with running lights and a toolbox in the back.

If you have any information, call Yukon Police at (405) 354-1102.
