Two people were arrested after leading police on a short chase in northwest Oklahoma City, Wednesday evening.
Police tell News 9 they spotted the couple running a stop sign near NW 90th St. and Waverly Ave. When the officer attempted to stop the vehicle, it took off.
Police say the suspects, a man and woman who have yet to be identified, circled the area for five or 10 minutes, throwing what the officer said looked like "rocks". The vehicle finally came to a stop at NW 90th St. and Walker Ave.
The female driver and male passenger were then taken into custody. Officers searched the car for weapons and drugs, but did not say if they found anything.
Authorities did not say what the couple was throwing out of the vehicle. No other information has been released at this time.
