Motorcycle Slams Into Back Of Mini-Van On I-240 In SW OKC

A man suffered head injuries after he crashed his motorcycle into the back of a mini-van early Thursday morning on Interstate 240 in southwest Oklahoma City.

According to police, it happened in the eastbound lanes of I-240 at Penn. Avenue. A motorcyclist was going too fast when he hit a mini-van from behind.

Police say the man was then thrown into the back of the van. He has been taken to a local hospital due to head injuries.

The man was not wearing a helmet at the time of the collision.

No one in the van was injured. Crews briefly shut down the eastbound lanes of I-240 at they worked to clear the scene.
