Oklahoma City homicide detectives began searching for a killer Monday afternoon after a man discovered a woman dead in her home near SW 59th and May.
A 911 call reporting the body was received by Oklahoma City dispatch around 1:30 p.m., according to MSgt. Gary Knight.
Officers did not release the identity of the victim as of late Monday. Police said there were signs of trauma on the body but would not elaborate.
A neighbor told News 9 he had witnessed fights between the victim and a boyfriend. Police would not comment on a domestic violence possibility. There were no visible signs of a break-in from the front of the home.
Knight said more information about the killing is expected to be released following an 8:30 a.m. Tuesday briefing with detectives at Oklahoma City police headquarters.
