Oklahoma City police need your help catching three people who held up a metro convenience store clerk on April 4 at the Phillips 66 gas station near NW 17th and Classen Blvd.

The clerk says those three men walked in, one at a time. And when they were all inside, they pulled out a gun and knife and robbed him.

Surveillance cameras inside the store captured the whole thing as it was happening. The clerk, who does not want to be identified, says he was mopping the store when the three men came in.

"It was 10:30 in the night, so you can imagine, I was alone here," said the clerk.

In the surveillance video, you can see the first guy strolled right in. But the second one, who has his face partially covered, hangs back and watches. And then he slowly pulls out a knife and makes his way over to the clerk.

"I asked them ‘Why are you doing this?'" said the clerk. "And they told me 'Just give us some money. Give us some money.'"

A second store camera gets footage as the robbers walk the clerk up to the front, and it manages to get a very clear shot of the gunman's face. Police hope someone recognizes him and turns him in. And so does the clerk, who knows he's lucky to be alive.

"When he pointed the gun towards me and he put the knife towards my stomach, I thought that was going to be something," said the clerk.

The robbers are seen opening up their backpack and pointing their weapons at the clerk the entire time. After the clerk empties the register the two make a beeline for the door, to the third guy who was acting as a lookout outside, and they all take off.

"It appears they had a getaway vehicle parked the next block over at a dead end," said Oklahoma City Police Sgt. Jenny Wardlow. "And they were able to get away and not be caught. So obviously [this is] a very dangerous situation. We want to get these guys caught."

The clerk also hopes the video helps catch the culprits, before they strike again. That clerk says he's worked at the convenience store for more than two years and has never been robbed until now.

If you have any information that can help police catch these crooks, you are urged to call the Oklahoma City Robbery Unit at (405) 316-4859.
