Happy Easter! A few scattered showers will continue this morning before a break in the action ahead of another round this afternoon, evening, and tonight.
Rain chances early this afternoon will start in western Oklahoma with a few strong storms possible. As the afternoon turns into the evening, the scattered showers and storms will move into central and southern Oklahoma. Again, scattered strong storms will be possible. Later tonight, central and southern Oklahoma will have the highest opportunity for rain.
The threat for severe weather is relatively low this afternoon and evening, but a few strong storms will be possible. One or two severe storms isn't out of the question.
As the system exits on Monday, rain chances will continue for central and eastern Oklahoma. No severe weather is expected on Monday.
Our next system arrives Wednesday afternoon and evening with a dryline setting up shop in western Oklahoma bringing back a severe weather threat. We'll have more on that as the system gets closer.
Have a happy Easter and stay with News 9!
