The Federal government has named Oklahoma State one of 55 colleges and universities that are on a list they would rather not be on.
The Department of Education says those 55 institutions are being investigated for their handling of sexual violence and harassment complaints.
OSU's involvement stems from sexual assault complaints involving a fraternity member that the University did not report to Stillwater Police until a month after the University knew about it.
Caraline Duprey is majoring in Athletic Training at OSU. She says the federal list sends a message.
"It means something is being done about it. It's not just being swept under the rug," Duprey said.
An OSU spokesman Thursday said OSU is fully cooperating with the Federal investigation, and the University has strengthened its policies in the past year.
