As of 9:30 p.m. Sunday night, state highway 270 in Dewey County, seven miles southeast of Seiling, remains closed, but OHP troopers have reopened US 412.
Authorities tell News 9 the fire there is under control and crews are currently mopping up hot spots.
State highway 270 in Dewey County was shut down just after 4 p.m. due to low visibility related to a large grass fire near Seiling.
Oklahoma Highway Patrol troopers have closed US 270 from Seiling to state highway 51E. A second fire also flared up near the town of Chester, Okla.
It is unclear how large the fire is at this time or what sparked it. Authorities have not said if any structures are being threatened at this time.
Multiple Dewey County fire crews have responded to battle both fires. It is unclear how long OHP plans to keep US 270 closed.
