A few more hot, windy days, and then our rain chances begin to go up.

Tonight, look for lows in the upper 60s and low 70s with a strong south wind at 15 to 25 mph.

Wednesday, highs will once again climb into the low 90s under sunny skies with a strong south wind. The wildfire risk will continue to be extreme until we get some measurable rain.

A slow moving upper level storm is approaching from the west and will start to increase rain chances in western Oklahoma over the next couple of days.

There will be a slight chance for showers and a few thunderstorms in western and northwestern Oklahoma Wednesday and Thursday afternoon. Better rain chances Friday and Saturday in the west. Sunday rain chances will go up for central Oklahoma as the mid-level storm moves to the east.

There will be off and on rain chances over the weekend into Memorial Day with some heavy rain at times. There will be a slight chance for marginally severe storms at times with small hail, and gusty winds the main threats. The weekend doesn't look like a total washout, but some rain should be expected. Rainfall totals still looking good for western Oklahoma where some areas could pick up one to two inches.

Stay tuned for the very latest.
