Two people are in custody after leading police on a high-speed chase in Oklahoma City, Sunday evening.

Officer with the Warr Acres Police Department initiated the chase after they spotted a vehicle driving with its license plate covered.

The vehicle sped away and the officer pursued, eventually being joined by Oklahoma City Police. The chase lasted nearly 20 minutes and wound around Britton Rd. and Wilshire Ave. to part of County Line Rd. and Council Rd. on the west side of the OKC metro.

The suspects' vehicle crashed out in a residential area near the 8100 block of Harvest Hills Rd., but the chase did not end there. Both suspects bailed out of the vehicle and a foot pursuit ensued.

Both suspects, later identified as 18-year-old Dontrell Norris and 17-year-old Davion Allen Fuller, were eventually taken into custody after officers found them hiding in backyards in the area.

Police have not said why the suspects took off to begin with.
