Residents in Shawnee claim a mountain lion is on the prowl in their neighborhood.
One couple living on the east side of town says they even have the pictures to prove it.
Ken and Glenda Kerbo got a good look at what they believe was a mountain lion in their backyard.
The Kerbos are curious; after all, this is the second year in a row, that they have encountered a large cat in the heavily wooded area behind their home.
"We followed him for about 6 acres and then he turned into the trees. We decided at that point we are not following him in the trees," said Ken Kerbo. "We'll stop right there cause we sure don't want to be dinner."
The Wildlife Department says mountain lions do pass through Oklahoma from time to time, but there have only been a handful of documented sightings in the last few years.
