Man Faces Manslaughter Charge For Deadly Crash On Route 66

The driver from Wednesday's fatal head-on collision is facing a manslaughter charge.

It happened on Route 66 near the Kilpatrick Turnpike late Wednesday night.

Officials say 19-year-old Tyler Gilliland was driving east in the westbound lane and hit a car head-on, killing 18-year-old Joseph Twyman.

Gilliland is being held on a complaint of first-degree manslaughter, and police accused him of driving drunk.

The victim of this deadly accident has been identified as 18-year-old Joseph Twyman.  He was a 2013 graduate of Yukon High School.
