Agents with the Oklahoma Bureau of Narcotics said they just had one of the most unique drug busts they have ever made.
Agents arrested two Florida men who they said were smuggling $250,000 worth of pot products.
OBN said the items contain some of the highest levels of THC they have ever seen, as much as 10 times stronger than traditional marijuana.
"This marijuana that they're producing today is like nothing we've ever seen before," Mark Woodward with OBN said.
Woodward said every single item they seized from the suspects' car contains marijuana like brownies, fruit juice, olive oil, butter, jam and candies that look like brand name candy.
"It shows who these people are marketing this to, because you don't put gummy bears out here and target 55-year-old men with this stuff," said Woodward. "Teenagers are going to love this stuff. They're going to flock to some of these products, because they could literally be eating these in class, in school, on the school bus, or in a movie theater, at home and parents would have no clue."
Agents said they also found cannabis oil and cartridges for e-cigarettes that contain marijuana.
"They can smoke marijuana on a bus, in a classroom, at a school, at a movie theater and nobody has any idea they are smoking weed," Woodward said.
Agents pulled over Robert Shepard and Andrew Mason on Interstate 40 in El Reno on Wednesday for following too close.
They said both men were acting nervous, so they brought in a K9 named Xena. The three-year-old OBN pup sniffed out 50 pounds of products in the men's car.
THC is the ingredient in marijuana that makes you high. The stronger the level, the higher you get.
Agents said traditional bud marijuana is six to eight percent THC, but the products in this bust have as much as 80 percent THC.
"People want to downplay the harmful effects," explained Woodward. "They need to realize this is not the same marijuana from 20 years ago. It's not the same that was out there five years ago."
Woodward said the suspects bought the products in Colorado and California to sell in Florida and the east coast for as much as five times the original price.
OBN sends samples of marijuana from drug busts to the University of Mississippi to test the THC levels.
