After a few showers this evening, we will really dry out and heat up into the weekend. Big-time heat will be followed by a very unseasonable cool down. In fact, records may fall next week.
Tonight, look for lows in the mid 70s followed by highs in the mid-upper 80s and lower 100s tomorrow. As we head into the weekend, highs will climb into the lower 100s with heat indices from 100 to 108 degrees. If you know you will be outdoors for an extended period of time, take precautions to protect yourself from heat exhaustion. Also, remember your pets.
Monday, a strong cold front will move in from the north bringing unseasonable temperatures to the Sooner State. Rain and storm chances will go up as well. Highs will be in the 70s for a couple of days and could end up breaking record cool highs as well as record lows. We will continue to monitor the advancing cool air and bring you the very latest on potential rain.
