Four kids were caught driving a stolen tanker truck.

The joyride caused a lot of damage to Minnick Materials, a pavement business near Reno and Council.

"I didn't want to give them too much trouble, and I didn't think they were going to give us trouble," said Jason Huffaker of Minnick Materials.

He's is in the business of creating pathways, but, Huffaker said not any that lead to delinquency.

"I guess there is not enough for them to do in this area, so they found a play yard here with our vehicles and our rocks," Huffaker said.

His staff caught four young boys on a joyride in the company water tanker truck. Those witnesses photographed the kids doing donuts on the property and called Oklahoma City police.

"We were concerned that they could get hurt, they could roll the truck over, or run over one of them," Huffaker said.

When Oklahoma City police arrived to the business, officers actually caught them in the act.

Investigators believe the kids used rocks to knock out the windows of the tanker truck, and likely, totaled a truck during a previous incident. All four were arrested.

Huffaker said the kids still returned to the property after their arrests. In the most recent instance, he claims the cleaning personnel asked the kids to leave and they stopped and threw rocks at her.

Since their arrests didn't stop them from misbehaving, he said perhaps some punishment will.

Detectives said the juveniles have been charged with unauthorized use of a motor vehicle and could face more charges.

According to Minnick Materials' staff, Huffaker, who is celebrating his 40th birthday, would be happy with even a small slice of justice.

"We don't want to see them in too much trouble, but by that same token, we don't need them back," Huffaker said.
