It was hot and humid across Oklahoma on Monday, but a fall-like cold front is moving in.

Tonight showers and storms will weaken as we lose day time heating, and most of the state will be dry. Lows behind the cold front will drop into the 50s and 60s. We'll be able to give the air-conditioners a nice break.

Most of the day on Tuesday will be dry, and much cooler with highs in 80s with much lower humidity.

The temperatures will be even cooler Wednesday and Thursday. A weak disturbance will move over Oklahoma giving us enough instability for nearly statewide heavy rainfall.

Many areas will pick up 1 to 2 inches of rain through the end of the event. Cloud cover and rain will keep temperatures in the 70s both days. Morning lows will be in the upper 50s and lower 60s.

These cool temperatures will likely be record lows and record cool highs. It will feel like October for a short time, but the summer heat returns early next week.
