Oklahoma City finally reached the 100 degree mark, officially registered at Will Rogers World airport on Saturday. Our average first 100° day generally comes on July 9, but didn’t arrive until today for 2014.

A second 100 degree day is possible on Sunday. The latest 100-degree day ever for Oklahoma was Aug. 31. However, with more cool air arriving this upcoming week, we could few more 100° days for the rest of the year.

A cold front arrives late in the day Saturday and carries with it a small chance of a couple T-storms, but more importantly it starts the cool down. Temperatures on Monday will be much more tolerable, with below normal highs in the upper 80s to lower 90s. Even cooler weather and better rain chances arrive in the middle of the work week.
