Crews Respond To Multiple Accidents On I-40 In OKC Metro

Emergency crews are responding to multiple accidents on Interstate 40 in the Oklahoma City metro area Friday afternoon.

According to authorities, at about 2:30 p.m., emergency crews responded to an accident in the westbound lanes of I-40 near Meridian. The westbound lanes reopened at 3:12 p.m. after crews cleared the scene. 

Crews are also on the scene of an accident in the westbound lanes of I-40 at Portland. 

Drivers are advised to avoid these areas.
