Overnight tonight, a few showers and thunderstorms are possible in far northwestern Oklahoma, but nothing widespread is expected.
The big story will continue to be the heat and humidity as above average temperatures will be hanging around through the weekend. Highs on Friday will be in the upper 90s and lower 100s with increasing humidity. The heat index will continue to be a problem as the moisture will make it feel like 100° to 105° Saturday and Sunday.
As our next low pressure system approaches, we will see isolated chances for afternoon thunderstorms starting on Friday carrying into early next week. Our next best chance for rain will be Tuesday and Wednesday, and this will knock our temperatures down a few degrees.
