Labor Day Weekend. College Football. We're moving into my favorite part of the year.

If you have plans to be out this weekend, hot and dry conditions dominate the forecast. We will have to monitor far northwest OK Sunday afternoon for the possibility of a few storms, but chances are low.

The lake wind forecast looks good, too! Sunday will have the strongest wind, 15 to 25 mph from the south, so use caution. The rest of the weekend looks fantastic.

Stellar football weather in Norman and Arlington this evening. If you're out tailgating for the OSU/FSU game, there may be a few scattered showers and storms around this afternoon.

The heat dome will make a return to Oklahoma after Labor Day, which means hot and dry for the first week of September. A weak cold front MAY arrive next Saturday and bring a slight chance of rain, but chances are low right now. If the heat dome builds, a bigger system would likely be needed to weaken it and allow for showers and storms to develop. Either way, we'll be watching!
