Skies will remain mostly clear and quiet Thursday evening. Temperatures will stay mild with numbers only falling to the low and mid-70s by tomorrow morning.

A cold front will sag into northern Oklahoma on Friday, bringing a chance for showers and thunderstorms north and west of Oklahoma City in the morning and afternoon. Temperatures should be able to climb back in the mid-90s Friday afternoon in the metro before the rain gets here.

Oklahoma City will have a chance for rain Friday evening with the best chances overnight Friday and into Saturday. Some of these storms, especially north and west of the metro, have a chance of becoming strong to severe with large hail and damaging wind.

Clouds and scattered rain showers will be expected on Saturday keeping high temperatures well below normal. Highs will struggle to get out of the low 70s as we start the weekend. We rebound back to the low 80s by Sunday under mostly cloudy skies. Have outdoor plans? Wait until Sunday.
