A high-speed chase that started in northeast Oklahoma City ended in a rollover crash on Interstate 44, Thursday night.

According to Lieutenant Michelle Holland with the Oklahoma City police, the chase started when officers tried to make a traffic stop near N.E. 23rd Street and N. Kelly Avenue and noticed the vehicle's tag information didn't match the vehicle description.

Lt. Holland said the chase ended when the suspect, later identified as 43-year-old Wilbert Cobb, failed to navigate the turn to get on eastbound Interstate 40 and rolled the vehicle.

Cobb was taken into custody following the crash. OCPD said his passenger was transported to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Police said a minor accident involving three vehicles occurred after the chase ended due to onlookers who were not paying attention.

Lt. Holland suggested drivers passing an accident should slowing down, leave space in between cars, pay attention to the cars in front of you and keep driving.
