Police have arrested a woman who is accused of stabbing another woman at an apartment complex in northwest Oklahoma City, Thursday morning.

According to police, at about 10:15 a.m., officers responded to the incident at the Castle Tower Apartments, located in the 5500 block of N.W. 23rd Street.

A woman was stabbed. She has been transported to the OU Medical Center in “extremely critical condition.” Police fear that the woman may die from her injuries. Homicide detectives are on the scene.

According to police, officers arrested a suspect, later identified as 23-year-old Diamond Newton. Police said Newton had gotten into a fight with the victim. She is being interviewed by investigators at this time.

Newton has been in jail before on drug-related charges, according to police.

Police continue to comb the parking lot for evidence and question potential witnesses at the scene about what happened. But it appears the suspect and the victim were the only two involved.

The victim has not been identified.
