Welcome rain for some yesterday and more chances are on the way today, but our big story will be the WIND. Surprising in Oklahoma, right?
As the cold front moves through the state today, winds behind it will gust up to 40 mph. Those winds will be possible in OKC later this afternoon into this evening. Temperatures will rise into the 50s and 60s ahead of the front, then quickly drop behind it.
There is a slight opportunity for more rain showers in central and northern Oklahoma this afternoon and evening, but amounts will be light.
The weather pattern calms down this week. Thanksgiving looks mild with highs in the lower 60s. A cold front will move through during the day and drop highs on Black Friday into the lower 50s with a strong northeast wind. Bundle up if you're out shopping!
