OKC Police Identify NW OKC Murder Victim

Oklahoma City police have identified a woman who was shot and killed early Saturday morning.

Oklahoma City police have identified a woman who was shot and killed early Saturday morning.

According to police, officers responded to the report of a shooting in the 500 block of Sweetgum Avenue. When they arrived, they found the body of 37-year-old Carrie A. Ezell in the front yard of a home.

Ezell was transported to an area hospital where she was pronounced dead.

Police said investigators quickly developed information and identified 26-year-old Charles Chambers as the suspect in this case. Chambers was located just a couple hours later near S.W. 29th and Meridian. He was taken into custody without incident.
