We here at News 9 hope all of you got what you wished for under the tree this year. But Thursday, one family from Mustang received the greatest gift of all, a baby born right at midnight.

This is one Christmas the Brown family will always remember. The day this precious baby boy came into the world.

“I believe it was a gift from God,” said Chade Brown, the proud new papa. ”It was really, really special to me and my wife.”

“Amazing,” said May Shelle Brown. “I mean it's my first born. I didn't expect him to be born on Christmas day!”

Baby Shadrach William Brown was delivered right at midnight at Lakeside Women's hospital in Northwest OKC.

The beautiful and healthy 8 pound baby boy with the full head of hair not only shares a very biblical birthday, but was given a very biblical name.

“He came from the story of Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego which was in the bible about not bowing down to King Nebuchadnezzar.

This is the first baby for daddy Chade Brown and his wife May Shelle, who have been married for two years.

They expected to have him after the first of the year.

But it appears God had other plans. And his father has some big plans for him too.

“I hope my son influences other people to live for the Lord Jesus Christ, and not be persuaded by other people,” said Chade Brown.

“Yeah he is going to be a great person someday,” said May Shelle Brown.

And his family plans to surround him with Christian love and charity on this birthday, and every one to come.

In fact, May Shelle's family is all the way in the Phillipines but still were able to be a part of this little one's welcome to the world.

They were able to use Skype up until May Shelle had to go into the operating room for her Cesarean section.

“May Shelle's dad is actually a pastor in the Philippines,” said Chade Brown. “They are very excited about baby Shadrach.”

Baby Shadrach is the second grandchild to be born on both sides of the family. We wish him and his family here and in the Philippines a very Merry Christmas and blessings in the News Year.

The nurses at Lakeside said this is one of several babies born at their hospital Thursday.

So happy birthday to all of them and Merry Christmas too!
