Fiery Crash Shuts Down Broadway Ext. At Hefner Rd.

A fiery crash on the Broadway Extension, near the Hefner Rd. exit, shut down traffic for vehicles heading northbound toward Edmond for just over an hour, Monday night.

Two vehicles were involved in this crash, which ultimately resulted in both vehicles catching on fire. The accident shut down the northbound side of Broadway Extension, backing up traffic for several miles. Broadway Extension was reopened at approximately 6:48 p.m.

EMSA was called to the scene, but told News 9 that no one needed to be transported to the hospital.

The cause of the crash is still under investigation.
