Police said the standoff has ended with an alleged burglary suspect at a northwest Oklahoma City motel Friday evening.

According to police, a suspect wanted in connection to multiple white collar burglaries was in a room at the Extended Stay America, located at 4811 NW Expressway.

Smoke was detected coming from one of the rooms in the building. The suspect had not been communicating with the police since the standoff began Friday morning.

Authorities said a robot was used to force a door open Friday evening. The suspect, 36-year-old Chad Yeaman, was taken to a hospital to be checked out and then headed to the Oklahoma County Jail.

Back in December 2014, an arrest warrant was issued for Yeaman in connection to the burglary that happened on Sept. 2 at the Winningham and Stein Law Firm.
