Some of the most-coveted cars in the world are on display and up for sale this weekend in Oklahoma City.
The Leake Car Show and Auction is pulling out all the stops for its 35th anniversary show in OKC. The car show will sell nearly $10 million worth of cars this weekend in the Cox Pavillion at the OKC fairgrounds.
The cars of your dreams are all under the same roof like a 1977 Aston Martin, 2009 Ferrari Coupe, 2013 McLaren Spider and 2008 Lamborghini Gallardo Spyder.
“This is a 1963 Corvette fuel-injected split window car, it's one of the hottest cars in the market right now,” said Richard Sevenoaks with Leake Auction Company.
Five-hundred collector cars will be up for auction or just to admire.
“426 Hemi, that was the bid dog engine of the day,” said Sevenoaks as he showed News 9 around.
You can see the epitome of the Cadillac era, a '57 Cadillac Eldorado Brougham that was handmade with a Pininfarina Italian body on it.
They have got cars from the 1920s, Jeeps covered in Kevlar and even limited edition 2015 cars. The brand new Dodge Challenger Hellcat with 700 horse power will probably be the hottest car in the auction.
“They're a limited edition, they just came out and this is the first one that I've seen for sale,” Sevenoaks explained.
The cars at the show do not change much each year. What changes is which ones are popular, which are the latest and greatest and what modifications were made.
The entire show is driven by emotion.
“Come on out here and bring your kid out here, show them the car you had when you were 17 when you were dating ole Becky Sue and just go kick tires, that's what it's about,” Sevenoaks said.
Doors open Saturday at 9 a.m. at the Cox Pavillion at the OKC fairgrounds. Tickets are $15 each or $10 for senior citizens. Each car gets three minutes on the auction blocks.
