A woman on the run led Purcell Police on a chase with a close call, as she hit a truck and then kept going.

In the video if you keep an eye on the upper left corner of your screen, you see the white truck pulling into the parking lot. Then, out of nowhere black flies by grazing the front end of a truck.

Kris Wilson was driving that truck.

“I felt a nudge on my truck and saw a dust cloud, and that was it,” he said.

Gone. Dust swirling. Gravel flying.

“She slid through the parking lot sideways and through other cars,” Wilson said. And back out onto the road. “She hit my bumper and scratched the grill guard a little bit”.

An off duty police officer was close behind and trailing the car after the female driver blew through two stop signs.

“When he saw the dust kick up he couldn't see what was going on so he had to slow down even more,” Purcell Police Department Sgt. Scott Stephens said.

The dust cleared.

“He could see about a quarter of a mile down the road she had made a turn onto the bridge that goes across I-35,” Stephens said.

She then made another turn into a neighborhood, and gunned it all the way down to the end of the cul-de-sac where she jumped the curb, went through a vacant lot, careened through the city golf course, barreled though some barbed wire and then disappeared.

“A couple of more inches and she would have got me real good,” Wilson said.

Nobody got a good look at the driver, but the car is a black Ford Escape. Pieces of it fell off in the parking lot and part of the driver's side rear view mirror broke off near the golf course.

If you have any information contact Purcell Police.
