An informational meeting in Norman Thursday night for the largest highway project in state history, drew a small crowd but a lot of questions.

The $71 million project will widen I-35 from four to six lanes and will replace the State Highway 9 East and Lindsey Street interchanges.

ODOT said the project will take two years.

"This will really not only help and serve them but this area is booming,” said Teri Angier with ODOT.

Doug Kennon's Sooner Legends Inn and Suites sits in the middle of the construction zone. Kennon said even though the project's already cost him, it will be worth it in the long run.
