Caught On Camera: Inmate Escapes Custody In Alva

A Woods County inmate was captured after escaping custody in Alva, Oklahoma.

According to the Woods County Sheriff’s office, at about 12:12 p.m. Friday, inmate Joe Green escaped from custody after a medical appointment.

Deputies immediately launched an extensive search for Green. At about 12:45 p.m., they apprehended Green inside his previous home.

Green was serving a five-year sentence for possession of controlled substance, and assault and battery with a dangerous weapon. He has been booked in on an additional charge of escape from a county jail.
