Two men were arrested Sunday after leading Oklahoma City police on a high-speed chase.
The chase began on the northeast side when officers tried to stop a stolen vehicle.
When the driver refused to pull over, police pursued on the ground until the helicopter got involved. The SUV eventually crashed near I-44 and Lincoln Boulevard.
"He was running stop signs and stop lights, obviously driving at a very high rate of speed and once our helicopter is overhead our ground units are going to back off and let the helicopter take it," Police Sgt. Jeff Cooper said.
During the chase, another vehicle was hit by the SUV but that driver was OK. A police car also was damaged in the pursuit.
