John Lane returned to work Friday to thank his coworkers for saving his life.
John Lane had a massive heart attack at work three weeks ago at his work, ClimateMasters. The company had a first response team trained and an automatic external defibrillator in their first aid kit.
Doctors said John suffered from a sudden cardiac death where his heart just stopped and that CPR alone would not have saved him.
"Without the A.E.D. I wouldn't have made it so I think it's extremely important that businesses invest I that," Lane said. "It saved my life.
ClimateMasters spent $1,500 dollars on the original A.E.D. they purchased 4 years ago, employee Chris Chavez said.
"No matter what the cost is, it's worth it and in face since this incident we have purchased two more A.E.D.s," Chavez said. "It's just something every company should have."
