More than $20,000 has been donated to Oklahoma State University to help remember 10 members of the school's basketball family who died in a plane crash seven years ago.

That money was raised during last year's first annual "Remember The 10" run.  The donation is expected to help OSU students who are forced to cope with an unexpected loss or tragedy.

On the court Saturday it was another basketball battle between OSU and A&M, and Cowboy traditions filled the arena.

Outside the game fans took part in another tradition. Fans, family and alumni gathered to "remember the ten".

"It's wonderful. It warms your heart and makes you feel good there are other people remembering with you," said Debra Mills who lost her father in the crash.

Cowboy fans said they were glad to see the $20,000 check presented to OSU counselors during half-time.

Dr. Suzi Burks says the money will help market the school's counseling department and will help boost the training of counselors for grieving students.

"It's amazing how many students do go through grief and loss, not only through death but loss due to divorce and loss through relationships," Burks said.

This year's run is scheduled for April 19 on the Stillwater campus.
