Winter weather could lead to slick roads as drivers head home from work Monday evening.

As the day progresses, the chance for rain increases. By Monday evening, there is a 60 percent chance of freezing rain. Temperatures will be getting passed the freezing mark into the evening, leading to a very likely chance of freezing rain overnight as well.

A strong chance for freezing rain could cause more ice on the roadways for Tuesday morning's commute.

There is also a slight risk of severe thunderstorms developing throughout the day in portions of southwestern Oklahoma. Golfball-sized hail and winds up to 65 miles-per-hour could also develop.

Ice amounts are expected to remain below one-tenth of an inch. However, higher ice totals could occur within heavier freezing rain showers or sleet showers.
