Oklahoma City police recently caught a woman suspected of trafficking drugs. Officers were a bit surprised by who they arrested.
The woman has been identified as 41-year-old Susan Freeman, an employee at the North Carolina Attorney General's office.
Police said Freeman had 31 pounds of marijuana wrapped in 14 separate bundles and a brick of cocaine hidden in a cowboy boot. Investigators believe Freeman picked up the drugs on the West Coast and was making her way back to North Carolina before she was stopped near Interstate 40 and Council Road.
The drug shipment has a street value of $150,000.
Freeman's sister and another relative were also in the car. Freeman and her sister face two counts of drug trafficking. The other relative was released.
Repeated calls to the North Carolina Attorney General's office were not returned.
