The Billings girl's basketball team didn't make it to the state tournament this year or the year before. In fact, the Lady Bulldogs' record over the last couple years is about 2-40.
Freshman Nicole Aase said this basketball season was one for the books.
"We had some people quit, and then we had some new people join the team--we had a lot of arguments, a lot of drama," she said.
The team had to deal with their fourth coach in five years, filling holes in their roster, and a long losing streak.
They even recruited three foreign exchange students to play. Sarah Sardo is a junior from Karlsruhe, Germany.
"At first I didn't understand what they were trying to teach me," she said.
Kassina Prince had her own dilemma--she was the only senior on this year's team.
"There's a lot of pressure on me, you know, when we're down by maybe five points or something," she said. "They're all looking at me like 'What are we gonna do?'"
The team ended the season with eight victories, four times as many as the last two years combined.
"I was very shocked-I didn't think we were gonna win that much, Freshman Aase said.
"I think by at least my junior year or senior year, we'll be actually pretty good--hopefully gonna go to state."
