An Oklahoma City police officer faces drunk driving charges after being pulled over Saturday night.
Police pulled over 43-year-old Anthony Germany near NW 43 Street and Shartel. Germany was driving his own car and was off duty.
Both a police officer and a witness at the scene, claim to have seen Germany crossing the center line of traffic while driving. Officials say they arrested Germany after he refused to take a breathalyzer test.
Oklahoma City Police Department Capt. Steve McCool says they are careful to follow protocol with their officers as with any other person breaking the law.
"I think it's important that we make the citizens aware that the officers of this department are held accountable for their actions just like any other citizen," McCool said.
Germany, an 18 year veteran of the Oklahoma City police force, is currently on paid leave pending the investigation's outcome.
