Fluctuating oil prices are already trickling down to the pumps in our state.
Today the price of gasoline is about $2.89 per gallon, up from last month when gas held steady at $2.82.
The increase is due to oil prices rising across the globe. With escalating violence in Nigeria, a major oil supplier; a weak U.S. dollar; and Middle Eastern oil outputs strained, the U.S. saw oil prices rise to $100 per barrel today.
According to AAA, Oklahomans were paying $2.10 per gallon this time last year.
