The campaign spotlight shifts to New Hampshire tomorrow for the primaries there. But today its the University of Oklahoma that's getting some national attention.
Distinguished political leaders, including New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg, are in Norman to attend a bipartisan forum at the University of Oklahoma. The forum is on the state of the 2008 presidential race.
"If they are going to continue the bickering, then we may need to take a temporary time out," said David Boren, former senator and OU President, to CBS News. "We may need to have some shock therapy."
Boren said the Democratic and Republican candidates have two months to stop the bickering and start addressing the real issues at hand, or they may face another contender--an independent candidate.
Bloomberg has denied rumors he is considering a run for president on the independent ticket. Boren said Bloomberg could be an excellent choice, however, for a third-party candidate and someone to unify both sides of the political fence.
