Students in Boston's public schools have Monday off because of a winter storm moving into the Northeast. The nor'easter is making a roaring comeback after days of balmy weather.

The Massachusetts Emergency Management Agency said snow could pile up an inch an hour in some areas before it tapers off. Both the morning and evening commutes could be messy.

Inbound and outbound cancellations are expected at Boston's Logan International Airport, beginning in the morning.

There's a heavy snow warning for the New York City area, with five to seven inches expected.

Providence, Rhode Island, has its more than 80 plows on snow-fighting duty.
