MUSKOGEE, Okla. -- A 16-year-old Arkansas boy was killed during a bull-riding competition in Muskogee on Saturday, authorities said.

Peyton Jackson, of Alma, Ark., was pronounced dead at Muskogee Regional Medical Center after a bull trampled him at Muskogee Fairgrounds, authorities said.

Witnesses said Jackson completed an 8-second ride when the bull continued bucking and came down with its back feet on the boy's back and side. Jackson stood up and took three or four steps before collapsing.
