Oklahoma musician to be honored with "Native Son" award

Each year the South Oklahoma City Chamber of Commerce honors an Oklahoman at a formal banquet.

B.J. Thomas will be awarded the Native Son award for his musical achievements.

Thomas's music has appeared in such films as "Forrest Gump" and "Spider-Man 2".

The event will take place on Thursday, Jan. 24.
