EDMOND, Okla. - Police arrested a 19-year-old Oklahoma City man Thursday after a door-to-door search through an east Edmond neighborhood.

Prentice Washington was arrested on complaints of attempting to elude an officer, obstructing an officer, possession of a controlled dangerous substance with intent to distribute, possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, and driving under suspension.

Police pulled over a man for a routine traffic stop at about 12:10 p.m. near Interstate 35 and Second Street, police Spokeswoman Glynda Chu said. As the officer got out of his car the suspect ran. He then reversed direction, crossed the interstate and ran into a wooded area.

After a helicopter, dog and door-to-door search, police found him at about 2:30 p.m. hiding in a shed in the 200 block of Birstol Court, Chu said.
