A state agency wants a law allowing daycare owners to find out if potential employees have ever abused or neglected children at previous jobs.
The Oklahoma Commission on Children and Youth began reviewing state laws after a Tulsa two-year-old died at a daycare after the owner allegedly taped his mouth shut. Right now, a daycare worker who's been fired for abuse is not identified because child welfare findings are confidential.
