Companies lose billions of dollars every year when parents stay home with sick kids. A new day care is changing that by giving parents another option.

It's called the Sick Day Care.

Sick Day Care is for all the kids that have fevers or are too sick for school or regular daycare.

"It started as a community wide plan to help address absenteeism and also to help children be in a safe environment and be under medical supervision that they needed," said the Chickasaw Nation's Education Division Administrator, Lisa John.

When parents bring the kids in, a nurse checks them out, and they spend the day in rooms with other kids afflicted with similar symptoms.

The daycare handles children from six weeks to nine years old. Each room has its own ventilation system to prevent kids from catching different sick bugs.

Parents who use the daycare are very thankful that they no longer have to call in sick because of their kids.

"It's really hard to take off work if you have a meeting or my boss has a meeting and I need to be there, it's a lot of peace of mind to know you can bring your kids here," said parent Nina West.

The idea is catching on, in just over two weeks; more than 20 kids spent a day there.

Anyone can send their kids to the facility. The price tag is just under $30 a day.
