Woman charged with arson

A Payne County woman was arrested after she allegedly set fire to her mobile home last weekend with her granddaughter still inside.

A Payne County woman was charged with arson after allegedly lighting her home on fire while her 8-month-old granddaughter was still inside, said police.

Authorities said Jonna Rae Murrell lit a five gallon can of gas under her mobile home last weekend. The can exploded, but didn't catch the home on fire, police said. Her daughter was able to get the baby out of the home unharmed.
